Project Overview
Mercato Goods sells handmade home goods to customers around the world, but most of their visitors arrived on a phone and left before paying.
We redesigned the store from the ground up for mobile shoppers: faster pages, clearer product information and a checkout that asks only for what it needs.
Our Approach
We started with the numbers. Analytics and session recordings showed where shoppers gave up, so every design decision answered a real drop-off point, from search to the final payment screen.
Key Features
Three-step checkout
Guest checkout, saved addresses and wallet payments turned a six-screen flow into three, with the order summary always in view.
Product pages that sell
Larger photography, clear delivery dates and reviews next to the buy button answered the questions shoppers used to leave the page for.
Results
Three months after launch the new store showed:
- 32% higher conversion rate on mobile.
- 18% larger average order thanks to bundles and smart recommendations.
- Half as many checkout-related support tickets.
